This privacy statement applies to the services supplied by JEKA. By using this website you are deemed to accept our privacy policy.

Personal data

By ‘personal data’ we mean data that can be used to identify you. 

We process as little personal data as possible. The personal data of private individuals that we process is mainly limited to name and address, contact details and payment details. We also process the data of customers’ and suppliers’ contact persons, but only essential personal data such as name and contact details.

JEKA stores digital data on its own secure servers or third-party servers. We do not combine this data with other personal data in our possession.

You are not obliged to disclose your personal data. However, you should be aware that we will be unable to supply certain services if you refuse consent for the processing of your personal data.

Communications

If you contact us by e-mail or other method we may store your message so that we can process and answer your questions/comments. We will store this data on our own secure servers or third-party servers. We do not combine this data with other personal data in our possession.

Purposes of processing data

We process your personal data only for the following purposes:

  • to perform a contract;
  • to be able to contact you;
  • to supply and invoice the products or services you have ordered.

We do not collate or process any data for any purpose other than those described in this privacy statement, except where we obtain your permission in advance.

We store and process your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed taking account, for example, of the nature of our relationship with you.

Your rights as a data subject

Right of access:
You have the right to access your personal data free of charge at any time and to check how we use it.

Right of rectification, erasure and restriction:

It is important to be aware, however, that as a result of a request to erase your personal data, we may be unable to continue to supply certain goods or services.

In addition, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, and you do not have to give any reason for making such objection.

Right to data portability:

Insofar as the processing is carried out on the basis of your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent.

Right to complain:

If you have any complaint alleging breach of privacy please let us know. We will work with you to find the best solution possible. You can contact is by telephone or in writing with regard to any complaint. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, based in The Hague.

Sharing data with third parties

Your personal data will not be shared with any third party without your consent. If we forward your data to third parties we will take all steps to guarantee a similar level of data protection. For example, we may ask our contract partners to sign a confidentiality statement in line with this privacy statement.

Your data is processed internally by staff who we require to be bound by a duty of confidentiality.

Liability

We have taken such security measures to protect your personal data as are reasonable having regard to the risk of loss of, or fraud pertaining to, your personal data. Should a situation arise in which your data is processed in a prohibited manner, or processed by an unauthorized person, please let us know as quickly as possible so that we can take remedial steps and limit any loss.

JEKA is not liable under any circumstances for any direct or indirect loss arising from the misuse or unlawful use of your personal data by a third party.
